On Thursday evening we launched the norda 055 together with our community. The store filled up, everyone laced up, and we headed out for test runs through the city before the sun went down.
That is what we love about these nights. It is never just about a new shoe. It is a reason to bring everyone together: familiar faces, new faces, one big group moving through the streets and trading stories along the way.
The shoe
The 055 is norda's all mountain shoe, built for speed and stability on any terrain and for the long days out there.
- Upper: woven bio circular Dyneema, made for extreme abrasion resistance. It is water resistant and does not soak up water.
- Midsole: 100% Arnitel TPEE, 36 mm at the heel and 30 mm at the forefoot, with a 6 mm drop.
- Outsole: an exclusive norda x Vibram sole with Megagrip Elite and Litebase, plus 5 mm lugs for grip on technical ground.
- Weight: 286 g (men's US 8.5).
It works for ultra distances, daily training and racing alike. A tip on fit: the 055 runs slightly small, so most runners go half a size up. Come by and we will help you find the right size.
Rachel Entrekin had already proven what it can do before it even hit the shelves. She won the Cocodona 250 outright and set a new course record.

After the run there were drinks and snacks, more laughs and plenty of talk about where everyone is running next.
