Sherpa Race Backpack - Black
With its patented anti-ballot system and stretch fit, the Sherpa Race Bag ensures optimal support, eliminating friction between the bag and the skin and reducing the feeling of bulk.
Its quick access to flasks and XXL pockets with no blind spots provide instant access to almost 6L of equipment while running (without having to remove the bag).
Designed for smooth use, the Sherpa bag reduces friction while running, whether physical or mental.
SLOOM REDUCTION SYSTEM
By tilting the side plates at an angle of 17°, we divide by 3 the stress exerted by the weight of the side plates on the bag (the apparent surface on which the weight is exerted is 3 times larger). The application of the PFD shows that the displacement of the side plates linked to the phenomenon of oscillation of the torso during the race is divided by 4. In other words, the sensation of sloshing linked to the side plates is 4x less important.
FAST FLASK ACCESS:
Our unique and innovative side flask storage system allows flasks to be handled in one movement, eliminating this generally tedious operation during refueling phases.
STRETCH AND PHYSICAL FIT:
The bi-elastic Everdry material construction of our bag gives it a large lateral elastic range allowing it to adapt perfectly to the physiognomy of your body and optimal support without discomfort or pressure points.
SELF-LOCKING ZIP:
When closed, this bag should fit snugly, like a sports bra. It should feel like the same feeling you'd get with your regular bag when you tighten it as much as possible before starting the descent. For the ascent phases, the self-locking zip allows you to precisely adjust the bag's opening to facilitate ventilation phases.
BAG SYSTEM (max. volume per bag)
*Front stretch pockets: 1.5L x 2
*Side pockets for safety equipment: 150 mL x 2
*Quick access pockets on the shoulder straps (has a loop for keys and a whistle): 150 mL x 2
*Large Lower Back Tunnel Pocket: 4L x 1
*Flask pocket in tunnel pocket: 750 mL
*Upper pocket in the back: 3L x 1
*Large mesh pocket on the back (not accessible while running): 3L x 1
QUIVER:
This bag can accommodate a quiver such as our OPEN QUIVER.
DESIGN:
Our team of ultra runners, based in Annecy, designed and developed this product on the trails that take us to the edge of the Aravis.
MATERIALS:
The rigid mesh, serving as the backbone of the bag, is made in Portugal.
It was selected for its excellent weight/rigidity ratio and the very large opening of its mesh.
The rest of the bag is made exclusively from an assortment of materials from our supplier Payen based in Ardèche, France, a pioneer in the development and manufacture of Everdry fabrics (bi-elastic warp and weft with unmatched properties of lightness, durability, and drying speed).
PREPARATION:
Prototyped and assembled in Porto, Portugal at our supplier Petratex, a 4th generation factory, pioneer and specialist in heat sealing.
COMPOSITION :
Mesh: 100% Polyester
Liner: 66% Polyamide, 34% Elastane
Pockets: 76% Polyamide, 24% Elastane
We offer free shipping on orders over CHF 100.
